God's Plan of Salvation

I. Realize you are lost.
The first step in accepting Christ as your personal Savior is to realize you are lost.
(Romans 3:23) "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of GOD."

II. Realize you cann't save yourself.
Next you must understand that you cannot save yourself.
(Titus 3:5) "Not by works of righteous which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us."

III. Know Jesus provides Salvation.
Know that Jesus has provided the way for your salvation.
(John 3:16) "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life."

IV. Accept Jesus into your heart.
You can now accept Jesus into your heart to be Lord and Master of your life. If you are sincere in becoming a Christian you need to say a prayer similar to the following:
God I know that I am a sinner. I know that I cannot save myself. I believe that you loved me, died and arose again that I may be saved. I am asking you to come into my heart and save me. Amen."

If you prayed this prayer and were sincere I welcome you to the family of God. There is one other thing that you must do. Jesus said that you must confess openly before men the Lord Jesus Christ.
(Luke 9:26) "For whosoever is ashamed of Me and My words, of him the Son of Man will be ashamed when He comes in His Glory, and in His Father's, and of the holy angels."

You need to go to a church of your choice and confess Jesus as your Lord and Savior. This is in no way to lure you to our church, but if you don't have a church to go to come and visit us and make it public. You will not be pressured in any way to join our First Baptist Church. God will lead you where you need to go. If you have made it this far and have accepted Christ call or e-mail us and let us share in the good news.
